For over two decades, Help in Suffering has led one of India’s most dedicated camel welfare programs, reaching more than 1,22,000 camels across Rajasthan. Camels are a lifeline for many marginalised communities, yet they often suffer neglect, injury, and lack of access to veterinary care. Our program combines medical treatment, rescue, education, and community support to ensure these gentle animals live with dignity and compassion.
Six days a week, our vets travel across Jaipur’s rural and urban areas, treating sick and injured camels directly where they work and live.
Rajasthan’s first camel hospital, where abandoned or severely injured camels receive intensive care, rehabilitation, and a second chance at life.
At Pushkar, Nagaur, and Jaisalmer fairs, our team provides free treatment to hundreds of camels that would otherwise have no veterinary access.
Through pictorial guides, puppet shows, and monthly training sessions, we empower camel owners with knowledge on humane care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Severely injured or abandoned camels find safe shelter, long-term care, and dignity at our centre.
Camels are not just animals of the desert—they are companions, cultural icons, and providers for some of Rajasthan’s poorest families. By safeguarding their health, we also protect livelihoods, preserve heritage, and uphold compassion for an often-forgotten species.
Donate to provide life-saving treatment, medicines, and rescue care for camels in need.
Volunteer your time or skills to help us expand our impact on the ground.
Together, we can ensure Rajasthan’s camels live with dignity, health, and compassion.
