My first encounter with Help in Suffering was at the Pushkar Camel Fair nearly twenty years ago — a moment I’ll never forget. Drawn to their tent by the word “suffering,” I met Dr. Jack Reece and later witnessed the extraordinary work of HIS in Jaipur. Their team’s tireless compassion and professionalism, guided by Timmie Kumar’s steadfast leadership, have created one of India’s most respected animal welfare organisations. Building the Future: Centre of Excellence

Help in Suffering is creating a Centre of Excellence in Jaipur, a landmark facility bringing together advanced veterinary care, emergency and intensive treatment, training, and community outreach.

This hub will save injured animals, strengthen veterinary skills, and create safer, healthier communities across Rajasthan.

We are currently seeking capital funding and partnerships to complete design and construction.

ABC & ARV Expansion to Bassi

Help in Suffering plans to extend its acclaimed Animal Birth Control (ABC) and Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV)program to Bassi, a rural-industrial belt 35 km from Jaipur with very limited veterinary services and a fast-growing stray dog population.

Building on 30 years of proven impact in Jaipur, this expansion will deliver humane sterilisation, rabies vaccination, and community outreach to protect both people and animals.

Our centre is ready to start, donor support for key capital expenses, including a custom-built ambulance, is urgently needed to launch operations.
