Lucky – Too Gentle for the Streets

Lucky’s name tells only part of his story. When he first arrived, his body was covered in severe wounds. We treated him, healed him, and released him back to the streets—only to have kind souls bring him back days later, wounded again by alpha males who saw his gentle nature as weakness.

We realized then that Lucky was never meant for street life. He’s a submissive soul with a heart of gold, the kind of dog who’ll do anything for a banana and who melts at the sight of a friendly face. The streets were too harsh for his tender spirit.

Now Lucky lives with us, safe from the battles he could never win. He spends his days enjoying treats—especially his beloved bananas and carrots—getting belly rubs, and being cherished for exactly who he is: gentle, playful, and endlessly loving.
