Standing Surgical Excision of Vulvar Squamous Cell Carcinoma in an Adult Mare

A beautiful mare was brought in with squamous cell carcinoma on her vulvar area. To minimise stress, our surgeons performed tumour removal while she was standing, using local anaesthesia and sedation — an advanced equine surgical technique.

The procedure was smooth, and 10 days later sutures were removed with full healing.

She now lives comfortably and free from cancer — a remarkable recovery demonstrating HIS’s veterinary expertise and dedication.
