A female cat with an open, infected mammary tumour arrived at HIS in distress. She was stabilised with antibiotics and analgesics, and full blood work ensured she was fit for anaesthesia. Our surgeons removed a 200-gram tumour, followed by 15 days of controlled post-operative wound care and monitoring.
She made a complete recovery and returned to normal activity. Her case reinforces the importance of early intervention in cancer-related illnesses in street animals.
