When Vijay arrived at Help in Suffering, he was fighting for his life. He had a deep chest wound bleeding heavily, dehydration from blood loss, and shock had left him unresponsive. Our emergency team stabilised him with IV fluids, pain management and wound care before beginning daily dressings, laser therapy and antibiotics. Over the weeks, his wound closed, healthy tissue formed, and his behaviour transformed — from shut down and fearful to bright and confident.
